Frequently Asked Questions

This FAQ answers questions you might have about Mortal Kombat Mopologies III: Balzax, and is intended to prevent certain obvious questions to reach me by e-mail. For further help, consult the Mortal Kombat Mopologies site's forum.

Q: I've opened the file "start.html", but all I get is a webpage with a white square that won't stop loading.
A: Your version of Flash Player is possibly outdated. For this game, you need Flash Player 5 or higher. You can download the latest version of Flash Player at Macromedia.com.
Q: I've downloaded the latest Flash Player, but I still get that white square.
A: Your Flash Player software might be damaged or incomplete. To fix this, you will first need to uninstall Flash Player. Go to your Windows Configuration, open Software and browse through the list to find "Flash". Remove this, then go to Macromedia.com to download it again.
Q: The game's moving too slow.
A: Right-click the movie and change the quality to "low". If this doesn't improve performance, try the method described below.
Q: My system doesn't handle the resolution of the game well. Can't I make it smaller?
A: You can manually resize the game screen by opening the .swf files in the game folder. Be advised that manually resizing the game screen might cause things to get cut off from sight, or objects moving off the background and into the white. Before you try this, see if performance improves when you right-click the game screen and change the quality to "low".
Q: I'm hearing the character voices before the characters even start moving their mouth.
A: Because of a bug in Flash, the animation sometimes slows down while the sound keeps up the pace. Right-click the screen, uncheck "Play", and re-check it.
Q: I just heard a sound, but nothing happened on screen.
A: Unfortunately, the same bug in Flash can sometimes cause sounds to be played ahead of schedule, and this can't be helped. Try to ignore it.
Q: I just saw Balzax sneaking into the Lin Kuei cyberninja factory and get behind a computer, but now I'm looking at the computer and nothing's happening!
A: "Forgot your password? Click here."
Q: Where are these secrets/extras you promised?
A: Secrets can be accessed by clicking "collect extras" at the menu or at the bottom of the page. You can find passwords during gameplay, just keep your eyes peeled.
Q: Balzax? John? Who the hell are all these characters?
A: The menu contains a section with Warrior Biographies to let you read up a little on their role. Further information on them can be found at the official Mortal Kombat Mopologies site, in the Characters section.
Q: Why did you use a different cat picture for Balzax in the last part?
A: When still in the business of making fake pics, the position the "old" Balzax was in wasn't very easy to use. We then started using the gray cat, which is facing forward. It became sort of a "future" Balzax, a new look for MK4 and later games.
